Thanks for that.  I do agree that it is not the best kit around but I found that it went together quite well without a lot of faffing about.

The zimm is provided as glue on's with the kit.  It comes up quite well when painted.  I have done a few kits where I used miliput with a zimm tool and not being the most patient of guys found it took me ages. This saved a lot of time although damaged zimm cannot be replicated with it.

Yup my wife would agree with you I am a modelholic.

Turned out nice Gerry. Was the Zimmerit part of the kit or did you do that (it looks so perfect). One historical fact that someone might be able to clear up for me is the use of Zimm on the schurzen. When I did the Zimm on my panther G I left it off the schurzen because I was told it wasn't used on schurzen? Maybe it was the case of sometimes was sometimes wasn't? Hope someone can clarify this for me.

The kit comes with zimmed and non zimmed schurzen. Gerry, did you thin down any of the zim overparts or use all of them "as is"?

No none of them were thinned down they were used straight from the box.

They look better on the kit than I thought. I have had that kit in my stash for a long time and was eyeballing it to build soon,  but  have been holding off because I thought the zimm add on parts looked too thick.

You did a very nice job on this one.
