A Sd.Kfz.263 from Bronco Models and from AFV Club , thank you !

I've just found out that both Bronco Models #CB35124  and AFV Club #AF35263 have announced this 8-Rad Panzerfunkwagen for this year ! Well thank you guys from the far east for this little present , it is most appreciated ... really !

But does it have to be that every time I start a conversion or a scratchbuild myself someone brings the whole kit in plastic ?

Just a few examples I've begun to CAD the Panzerzug BP42 and Trumpeter now has the complete train .

Next was the AH-1W conversion to the NTS standard which was offered by Cobracompany , one of the worst sets I've spend money on ( $28.00) . Lots of filling and sanding ...

And now this , we can even choose which one we want to buy .

I can't wait to see how those are gonna be , both manufacturers have some nice kits Yes.

Yes I have started to build my own vehicle in 1:35 , I took the old Tamiya  Sd.Kfz.232 "2nd edition" with the upgraded parts , plastic sheet and I want to replace the wheels .

The hardest part was to find out the right angle of the "turret" , all sides have the same angle as the other superstructure except for the front armor plate . Lots of research , lots of Coffee and I could finally start this project . There were some resin conversion sets but hard to get and too expensive compared to rest of the old Tamiya vehicle .

I even saw some guys do their own scratchbuild but  in most cases they had the front angle wrong .

Here is mine so far , of course it will need some attention to fill the gaps and some sanding , but maybe  I will have it done before the other 2 kits will be on the market . I want to build it as a late version vehicle  without the large frame antenna with late style vision ports etc.

P.S. does anyone  have a special wish for a new model kit ? I could start a conversion and by no later than one year there will be one available as a regular kit ... Wink

It's a common modeler's curse...I've had it happen to me as well on occasion so don't feel like you're the only one! Smile Nice work so far on your effort and I applaud your willingness to "take one for the team" in terms of requests. Beer
