1/72 "Cat & Mouse" - PzKpfw VIII MAUS (Dragon)
Posted by MrDyzio on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 10:04 PM

Recently completed project. I used model of Panzerkampfwagen VIII Maus (Dragon), resin building walls (Tiger Dioramics), resin cobblestone street (own production), crew figures - mix of resin & plastic figures, infantry from WWII German Army with Camouflage Cape set (Ceasar Miniatures).

That's pretty cool MrDyzio. I love that camo scheme. Very creative. Nice little vignette.

Who doesn't like crazy ideas. I have been thinking about a digital type scheme for one of my paper panzers. I assume there was lots of masking involved.

Always glad to help. I used grey to make it more like urban camo type.

makes sense, and a nice change from the normal 3 colours. I am a big fan of paper panzers and Luft 46 builds. I always find it tricky coming up with schemes and colours that are different but not to fanciful. I still like them to have a touch of realisim. You have really pulled it off in my book.

Well, if you like Panzerwaffe 46, I have one more for you - E-100, which is here:

I'm really happy you like my idea for this project.

Cheers Toast

Thats nice. I like the little turret on top. Is that a part of the kit, because i don't think the Dragon 35th one has that.

I hope to be doing a paper panzer next year, maybe an E-25, as i really want to get one built.

The small top turret I added on myself :) I took it from E-25 kit, and fit with Flakvierling barrel...

Making paper panzers is fun, since no one will tell you that your color or camo is wrong Cool

I did wounder about the turret, my E-25 has one that looks the same. Maybe i can make a resin copy.

I know what you mean, i am about to paint my Triebflugel and am going with something a bit different.

Nice little scene and the urban camo on the Maus really makes it stand out. Hard to believe it's 1/72!

I should add that the eighth picture could easily pass for 1/35 scale
