Tauro 1/35 A7V Elfriede.
Following up on my Bison pics, I decided to put up this one. Its the Tauro 1/35 A7V.
This was my actual first plastic model in decades, a kit bought 10 years ago on a whim and never built. Frankly the kit is of very questionable quality, but the subject is so close to my heart that I could not resist it at all. The plates dont really fit together, many parts were miscast or broken. In it's defense the actual surface detail on the plates is very nicely done, and the track and bogies are a crazy work of art (actual springs and pinned track segments.
Still I got it together and had enormous fun painting her up as Elfriede, and it was enough of a success to inspire me to 'get serious'
I am planning a mud and barbed wire diorama base to finish it off.
