Good source of Tiger 1 reference?

That depends on the build date. Originally the Tiger's hull was painted in ivory and blue-grey. But sometime between Feb. and June 1943, they were instructed to drop the blue-grey and leave the bare primer there.

Its not panzer gray. Its a blue-gray that was lighter than panzer gray (which was a very dark color, not the medium blue-gray that a lot of modelers use.)

Jentz and Doyle D.W. to TIGER I : DESIGN,PRODUCTION & MODIFICATIONS..Osprey books ...Modeling the Tiger I.... You could try the AXIS forum on Missing Lynks...the Engine was a Maybach HL 210 and was dark grey in color.. you can google that. ... One of the best places to get info on the Tiger I is Bovington Tank Museum, they have a completely correct restored to running condition Tiger I that is famous... I have a whole book just on that one..it is called ' Tiger Tank Owners' workshop Manual ....Very up to date with a lot of color pictures that are the correct color !.The tranny was designed by Olvar-Getriebe....many of the drive train components were in oxide red primer....

That second link has some pretty nice cut-aways which is exactly what I have planned for my Tiger (hence why I'm so interested in the mechanics). Question though, I'm a bit confused on the interior color. Some sources seem to suggest an all white interior with a red oxide primer color floor and turret basket arms while others (such as the restoration) show the bottom portion, floor, and turret basket in what appears to be panzer gray. Which is correct?

Give me a week, next Saturday I'm going to the Tiger day at the Bovington Tank museum and I'll be taking more than a few photos
