Not sure of the best way, but this long link is to a pdf file of how to get at the various JS tanks.

This Russian language post is a WIP of someone doing the same using Tamiya products.

Hey,
         Everyone

I want to do an accurate or at least mostly accurate IS-1. To that end I bought the old DML JS-1 kit think to kitbash it with Tamiya JS-2 kit. Then I found out the JS-1 turret is all wrong. So now I'm thinking of using the top front glasis from the JS-1, then the JS-2 for the rest of the hull and suspension and then the new Bronco KV-85 turret when it comes out.

So my question is will this work? If not how would you go about building a IS-1?

Thanks in advance......

Scott
