                        I am here for 6 month, where should I go for local supplies?
                        Google has been of little use so far.

                         Take the S1 regional train to the central station, then one of the many trams that go to Graf-Adolf-Platz. It's only a few steps from there (and there is a nice sushi place just across the street if you like sushi).
