I always liked the "pigs head mantlet" might be interested along with the T-28 along with that Jagdpanzer IV

Pros: nice to have that difficult at best waffle zimm on already, suakopf matlett is also a nice change of pace on the StuG.

Cons:something else German from Dragon- wow... (said in the best Ben Stein monotone drone)

F is for FIRE, That burns down the whole town!

U is for URANIUM... BOMBS!

N is for NO SURVIVORS...

Nice to see the late-war StuG designs get their due. Yes

Oh it figures. I waited for this subject to come out and pulled the trigger on a deal for an Early G Smart Kit w/schurzen. If I knew this was coming, I never would have done it. Bang Head

Isn't that always the case Eric? Could be worse...you could've been working on a conversion using the old Imperial kit. Smile

T-28 has interested me for a long time..... .never thought a 1/35th model of it would be issued .......and by DML ! Their kits usually build well for me . $69 is pricey ...but so is a tank full of fuel ......and i get much more enjoyment out of spending that much money on a model ..........maybe i'll even build it ?

Looks just like their Stug III Dec 1943 I built a few months ago, but that one does not have zims and it should. so it looks like they corrected that and renamed it July 1944.

Tim, I thought that was a mid-production version. This one has the remote-controlled MG.

You're right, I missed that and the framing on the rear deck.

The Dec 1943 version looks like the one in the background of the photo on the poster. But I bet 90% of the parts are the same and I remember having a lot of left over parts off the Dec 1943 version.

This has to be the 10th to 12th Stug III Dragon has put out.

The StuG III G was one of the longest running production vehicles (and one of the largest # produced) in the German inventory with a lot of changes/tweaks along the way...DML has been diligently addressing the different types of variants and is close to being done with the run, so that's why you see a lot of economy of scale with the sprues and molds. And yes, it does mean that the spares bin gets a nice dose as well along the way! Smile DML is also going back and reclaiming the ground held by the Imperial series and early 6000 series short-barrel StuG IIIs with new-tool Smart Kits, which is a good thing but one that will take some time.

Well by doing so, they can release "new kits".

Capitalism at its finest! Which is somewhat ironic given where DML is based... Wink

Rather ironic isn't it.

That being said, this is one kit I absolutely need to get. Maybe I can make a trade down the pipeline with someone who will never build it.
