Lend lease tank Valentine IX recovered from the river
Posted by PITERPANZER on Thursday, October 25, 2012 12:58 PM

After 67 year ,in polish city Warta (between Lodz and Kalisz) my Friends recovered from the Warta river tank Valentine IX.

It was in russian service as a lend lease .Vehicle looks complete, because in 1945 it broke off under the ice and it fell into the river.

You find some pics here

Is correct, thank you for posting. Are there any photos of it after it was washed down?

I'm from the government and I'm here to help.

Piter, thanks so much for the news. That old Valentine was probably built in Montreal, Canada in 1943. They were built there and shipped over to you folks using the Murmansk run for the lend-lease program during the war. It looks pretty darn good after being stuck in Mud all this time. Thanks again.Yes
