I was almost going to do this myself once.  I think it would be easily done, but as mentioned above the Willys where really stiff suspension.  My Brother has a real Willys Jeep they are rock solid.  Looking through reference I had, I could not find one that showed much sagging on the back with a heavy load.  Its a shame, because it would be a cool effect. But if you feel like doing I say use your artistic licence and go for it

As stated above, WWII Willys jeeps didn't really sag when loaded.  The suspension is really stiff.  I too had a Jeep Wrangler and it had a really hard suspension as well.  Even a long on-road trip wore your a$$ out.

I don't know how low it would go with a four leaf spring suspension. I used to own a CJ-5 which basically had the same suspension. It was so stiff that your teeth would rattle when you drove over a wad of gum in the road.  Big Smile

Low suspension on Jeep

As anybody lowered the suspension on a Tamiya 1/35 Jeep? Trying to get the jeep to show that its loaded down.  Not sure if it's even possible since the axle is also glued to the frame (unlike the real one).  Just wondering if anyone has done it before and how.

If you think it can't be lowered let me know that as well, I have a suspension it can't be and was wondering if that is the consensus.
