Wow NICE any close ups of the zim?? some times i think the zim on some kits are WAY to weak and needs it cut in more. but i do like this one.

Looks nice eh Clay?

The link shows an interior, crisp waffle Zim, Schurzen, PE rack for the engine deck - I'm sold If the assembled shots of the actual built-up model look anything like the preview designs on the link.

Some crisp Magic Tracks would finish this off nicely!

C'mon Dragon get her released so I can get get her for Christmas! Gift

That Stug looks nice, willing to bet it's parts come from the 10.5 Sturmhaubitze 42 Ausf G (zim kit) which I had build about a year ago.  If so the zim was very sharp and the kit built up well.

In these same new releases, I'm waiting for the Type 95 "Ha-Go" Kit # 6767 Stick out tongue

Definitely on my to get list.......when the price is right.

Hey Tojo,

Definately one for the stash. I've built 4 Stugs - Dragons old Imperial 'Wittman' III A, Tamiyas EXCELLENT III B, Cyber Hobbys III F/G oddball thing  (all i/35) and Tamiya's 1/48 StuG III G Late - exactly the same as this one.

That was a good build - I had to add my own Zim which ain't easy on a 1/48 plus it was my first (and only) attempt!

She turned out ok but the Zim - a nightmare! I used an RB barrel:

I can't wait for this new kit!

One cannot have enough StuGs!

It's one of my favorite StuG variations...it has virtually all of the final features combined into one month's production before the zim was discontinued so you get to see it virtually at the apex of development. Ought to make for a nice Christmas present Ben!

It looks great Ben,the 1/48 I did was the early with the short gun

Any good stowage sets,a Stug is like a Sherman,it's gotta have stowage

Hi guys,

Tojo - I've looked at the detailed CAD pictures and can see it comes with a PE 'frame' for mounting on the rear.

Some simple stowage like Jerry cans, spare wheels, tarps etc should do fine.

Hi Anthony. Lucky boy.

If you can give us any sneak peaks at the contents, that would be an early Christmas gift. Wink

I see that Sprue Brothers is selling theirs for $48 on sale. That was about the retail price I saw on Dragonmodels. I guess I'll be waiting awhile.
