Try placing a small piece of coarse sand paper, face down on the kit, and rubbing the back with the side of an exacto blade handle or piece of wooden dowel. This will you give a slightly roughened texture. Test it first, as you will need to practice the technique to get it right. I have heard some guys say they soften the plastic with glue first, but I envisage a stringy mess doing that.

Otherwise, mix some fine grit with paint and spread that on.

The closest thing that I can think of is the 3M frosted tint film for glass that comes with a nice texture. It is quite pricey though.

Try getting the Dragon M1A1 or M1A2. They are bout 1/3 of Tamiya's M1A2's price but already has the anti-slip coating.

Thanks MartianGundamModeler. Trumpeter's here in Manila but I'm hesitant about buying the kit. Might try it, but I'll still hafta figure out what to do about the Abramses I got.

I'm a newbie so I'm not sure but I'm sure someone here does. I do know however that the Trumpeter kit has the anti-slip coating already molded onto the hull. Supposedly the the turret is mor accurrate than the old Tamiya kit as well from what I've been told. I mayself am too new to know the difference!lol
