Location of star
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, November 22, 2012 12:46 PM

     Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Before I set down to the table and stuff my self  thought I would get a question off.

Italieri 1/24 scale Jeep painted ready for decals. Bumper codes will be 101AB  506I  E1.

Time Sept 1943 to May 1944 Aldbourne England.

Would the  location of the star be 1 1/2" from dash or would it be centered  on hood and would the

white circle be applied or was that put on just before invasions.  I have caution left hand drive decal

but not sure if  it goes on the left or right side of the top.

Thanks in advance for any help, and when my kids show me how to post photos I'll post some.

My bench is like Ford's and Willy's assembly line another Jeep right behind the one that just came off

i was looking in my books and found that the jeeps seem to have the star with the circle in the center of the hood.one pic shows them loading 'em on a LCT in England before D Day. also the circle is solid halftracks also the same. hope this helped.

The caution left hand drive decal goes on the passenger side of the top looking at the jeep from the rear.Position it about halfway between the top edge and bottom edge of the rear top panel.

In my original post I was going say logic tells me right side since British drivers are on the right.

Thanks for confirming it, cant find many picture of jeeps with the top on.
