Joe, thanks much for your kind comments and compliments. So far, Trumpeter is the only choice for Flak 18 on a Famo. But in 2005 one of my builders scratch-built many parts and came up with this, it's Flak36/37 though (Tamiya's Famo with Tamiya's 88 mm Flak):

Your work looks really good. Thanks for taking the time to post it. As an inexperienced modeler .... and very unfamiliar with Armor I do take the time to study the photos in the hopes of trying to learn from them. Once again, GOOD WORK !!!!                    Bob

It's nice to know this kit is out there now. Did anyone ever release a kit of the FLAK 18 on a FAMO 18 ton? I made one of those about 9 years ago from the two kits. It's nothing special but I always wanted to redo it in a more historically correct way if the chance ever came along.

Awesome work BTW!

Joe

It's not about how fast you get there or even where you're going. It's whether you enjoy the ride.

Gamera, you might have been confused between "Constructor" and "Art Instructor" rather than me.

constructor, thanks for your kind comments on AI's work. Looking forward to seeing your Tortoise.

Constructor: Gee that's horrible about all those deaths, but still it's good to know you're ok. Hadn't seen you on the forums in a week or so and was worried.

Thanks Gamera. I'm quite alright here in Manila. The super typhoon hit the southern part of the Philippines where hundreds died. Thank God we were dry here in Manila. Looking at Art Instructor's Tortoise has inspired me to start on mine. Thanks for posting Model Maniac

MM: I like all of them but I commented here because I like the Tortoise best!

Sorry, I guess I got you confused with Constructor. After those photos you posted of all your models I hate to think of all of the destroyed in a storm.

Gamera - Thanks much for your kind comments!  Not only the Tortoise from Meng, I'm sure you haven't seen the other five armors that I posted at the same time with this, built outside a review also. They are all newly-release kits same as the Tortoise.

Thanks for your concern. I'm in Thailand, not in the Philippines. I've heard that hundreds of people died there while five millions have been displaced. What a tragedy!

MM: That's some nice work by Art Instructor! Think it's the first time I've seen the Meng Tortoise build outside a review, looks good! Going to have to grab me one.

BTW: I hope you guys aren't in the path of that huge hurricane.
