Bling Bling! (pics)
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, February 14, 2004 12:40 AM
wassup yo! lol
i'm really not sure where to post this, whether on the Auto forum or Armor.
but i decided to post this here anyways.

Here's a 1/27 die cast Hummer from Maisto. just replaced the wheels with a mini 4wd tamiya vanquish wheels and tires and painted it chrome silver. painted the bull bars the bumper at the back and the pipe chrome.
my next job is to paint the interior and finally give it a red paint job.
i also lowered the front wheels to give it cool look.

sorry for the x's

i hope you like it, pls don't throw something at me for posting this here. Cool [8D]

Wasn't an Austin Martin Vanquish the car in that last Bond movie? What type of Vanquish did you get the wheels from?
I like Hummers. I'm buildingg a 1/35 collection of them. i will be posting some pics later one tonight. Thanks for sharing!
Since you technically kitbashed an military vehicle it should fit in this catagory!lol
[Personally though I'm partial to it ramaining green! Military Green! Nice job!]

MGM: Thanks MGM. it's a tamiya mini 4wd vanquish, not the aston martin vanquish. it's those small car toys with a motor and 2 AA batteries. you place 'em on tracks and race them, just like those slot-cars.

COOL BUTZ!
We may have one of those behind the precinct. I gotta check and see. We've had so many DARE vehicles on the back lot it's hard to keep up! That one looks like an LAPD one.

Hey MGM,
That particular Hummer is from the Santa Monica Police Dept. BOY, I wish Customs would get those for our vehicles. I know wishful thinkingTongue [:P]Wink [;)].
Glad you liked the pix.

Kabayan Gary,

Nice Humvee, makes me think about doing one myself. What the heck, we're a creative lot, why not? Thanks for the inspiration, man.

M1abramsRules: hehehe, they got promoted with some "bling bling" ride.

Dan: Thanks man!

Dwight and Andrew: thanks for visiting too! this model has been sitting on the shelves for a while. i really like the hummer bcoz a couple of years ago, i saw one in action.
i was driving one morning goin to school when this guy driving a toyota car recklessly almost bumped a military humvee. so the officer driving the humvee chased the toyota, overtakes it then made a 180 degree skid infront of the car, forcing it to stop. it's like watching a movie, hearing the long screeech of the tires and smoke. sorry for the long winding story.
