Gamera, you are right about all the spare parts!  I'm making sure I check twice and cut once.LOL

This build will slow down for a bit since I just started the Butcher Bird FW-190 group build.  I will keep you posted on how this one is coming along and I'm sure I'll have some questions along the way.

Looks like a fun build! The road wheels are a necessary task on any German vehicle that is best gotten out of the way at the beginning. I suspect that's why the vast majority of instructions begin with that step, they know the hurdle they represent! Wink

I shall be watching this build with interest as the very same kit arrived in the post today.

I'm building pretty much the same kit for Tigerman's GB myself. So far other than losing the loader's hatch it's been a easy build. Only issue is half the parts in the box with mine are the typical Dragon 'parts not for use' so just check and double check to make sure you've got the right number on the part. I had several parts not want to fit and then noticed the wrong number and wrong sprue, my fault for just grabbing the ones that 'look right'.

There should be enough spare parts there to replace any of the grab handles, if not just drill the hole out and fold a small piece of wire and glue it in the instead- generally the wire will look better anyway and has no seam to clean up.

The build is going on right now and ends in April.

I don't think I'll have the kit done in time for the group build but I will check it out.  It's giving me a hard time already.  I broke one of the grab handles for the driver/radio operator hatches removing it from the sprue and the other one is lost in the carpet somewhere.Bang Head  Will have to make those later.

Very nice kit to build, the only problem I remember was that their were no guide marks to place the spare track hangers on the turret, you have to measure it out or eyeball it,otherwise it was a real nice kit.

Mike, you should join our Steel Cats GB over in the Group Build forum. Any Tiger (King) or Panther. You'll get a lot of help there.

I'm continuing to step out of my aircraft comfort box with a Christmas present from my son.Wink  I was glad to get all those road wheels built.LOL

If anyone has had any experience with this kit or knows of any problem areas I would appreciate a heads up.
