Hasegawa 1/24 Willy's Jeep finished

I just finished building this for my history teacher and I thought I would post a few pics of it. The 101st Airborne makings are not necessarily 100% accurate but it looked good to me! I love jeeps and I wish I could have kept it but  I guess I will just have to make another one!

WOW !!! That thing is a work of ART !! IF you built that for someone else then you definitely have to do another one for your personal shelf, or Diorama. Thanks for sharing it.                      Bob

Great Job,Is this out of the box? I have three of these to put together. I hope they will look as good as yours.

Hey 101st,

What a great looking build!

I've had the Tamiya version sat half-built in sub-assemblies in my cabinet for the best part of 2012 now! I really must finish it.

I'd love to see a photo of your build next to something like a Tamiya paint bottle to give it a sense of scale - I like to know how much bigger 1/24 looks as it's obviously pretty damn small in 1/35!

Lovely build - top marks Toast

I really like the dried, caked-on mud effect you've obtained on the wheel hubs. If I could critique anything I'd say the red rear reflectors look a little 'flat' and would benefit from either a bit more mud splatter to hide them or a coat of Future to gloss them up. That's the best I can do critique wise so a pretty much flawless build imo! Bow Down

Thanks for the kind comments everyone!

gpal - It is out of the box. It is detailed very well and doesn't need a ton of added detail.

Hinksy - I wish I could compare it to a 1/35th scale one but my teacher has it now. I was going to add a drop of future to the reflectors but I forgot to! Oops!

No problem 101,

I'd be well pleased with that build - a mighty fine job young Sir!

I like the work you did on the Jeep, but your grass is especially realistic.

Thank you xpc316e, it's just woodland scenics static grass sprinkled over some white glue but it does get the job done!

Nice work! Really like the splattered mud and the build up of mud under the fenders.
