Panther D light question
Posted by P mitch on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 4:04 PM

I have a Dragon D Panther kit no 6299 all but completed but have a question on the front light. I've looked at a few pictures but cant see any cable running to the light. I'm starting to think there wasn't one but just want to check before I start the full paint job.

Anyone any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Phil

There is a cable that comes out of the back of the light in the middle, where the bracket goes round. It then goes back into the light at the bottom. My guess is it runs through the light mount. I do have a drawing but i would have to scan it, but that would explain it better than i can.

No problem, it makes sense from the pictures I've seen and its a lot easier to build that way too

Here is my Aus D that was published in Fine Scale Modeler a few years ago. The detail on the lamp for the D series is a "U" shaped close loop cable that routed back thru the lamp base into the hull. This is the only exposure of the "cable". As near as I could tell from my research, this was a metal tube.

The Aus A deleted the right side lamp with no other changes
