Thanks to all of you for the info. It helps.
Winters may be cold in Canada but at least there are no mosquitoes or blackflies
The LAV III and the Stryker use the exact same hull. As Rob points out though, due to th eturret arrangement, the interior layout is very different. You could use one of the Stryker interiors as a base to start with and scratch the turret basket and interior parts.
CapnMac82 Canadian LAV III may share more with USMC LAV-25 than Army Stryker; even if FMC used many similar parts for both.

Not really. The LAV III is much larger than the LAV 25 and they do not use the same chassis components.

from researching the JGSDF TYPE 96B IFV the windows, at least on the japanese ifv, are armored and provide the driver with more visibility in the current combat situations.

The Canadian LAV III has a 25mm two-man turret whereas the US Stryker is turretless with a remote weapon station for a cupola. The turret mechanism takes up a lot of space in the hull where the remote weapon station does not. Because of this, the interiors are configured quite differently to maximize ammo storage, personnel seating, equipment storage, etc.
Conversely, the M1128 MGS and other variants like the ATGM have a larger weapon, bigger turret and more ammo holding capacity than an LAV III so there is even less space inside for men and equipment.
I have read that these are basically the same vehicle except for the LAV III being more heavily armed and armoured. My question is are the hulls the same shape? The reason I am asking is that while there are after market kits for Stryker interiors but none for the LAV III. Would these Stryker interior kits fit the LAV III hull by Trumpeter? Has anyone done an interior for the LAV III?
Next question. The window around the drivers hatch, I am assumming they are removable in "HOT" zones and that the hatch can close. Is thsi a correct assumption?
