Here are two subjects that I have worked on recently, Tamiya's Matilda II and Bandai's Valentine, dressed up for North Africa.

The Matilda is pretty much straight out of the box. With the Valentine, I added sand shields and a few extras. The lamps on the Valentine are backwards on purpose as pictures show that they were normally set this well to reduce lamp breakage.

Nice Mike. I have a soft spot for Brit armor and am glad that they are finally getting their dues in 1/35. My friend had a Bandai Panther in 1/48 and I recall it was very well detailed with a full interior. How does the valentine stack up?

BTW, I like the groundwork, especially the cacti.

Thanks Eric,

The Valentine's interior was moderate, I beefed it up some, I should take pictures of that work as well. With the Bandai kits, they will include an engine, but not the radiators, etc. I did add those as well as the co-axial BESA mg, both kits have aftermarket gun barrels including the mg's.

I think the major concensus for the old Bandai Valentine kits was that the tracks were the only real issue. Many folks replaced the Bandai 1/48 scale vinyl tracks with 1/35 scale link & length tracks from the old Maquette T-40 Soviet light tank. That kit went for about $5 at Squadron many years ago and were grabbed up for the kit tracks.

Your builds look very good; I enjoy building 1/48 scale armor. I have a Firefly sitting on the table waiting for me to get working on it once again.
