Hi Jon, you're right, III -- and that wasn't a typo, it was a case of being stuck in a time warp. The M110 I built for the first one is in the display case, the AS-90 I started fior #2 is on the shelf... So onto #3!

Thunderbolt379 Hi Terry -- the outlook is to launch Abrams II at midyear and go for twelve months, so it's definitely on! I'll also launch Have Gun Will Travel II and run it back to back for mobile artillery fans... Cheers, Mike/TB379

Wouldn't that be HGWT III?
It seems like I have been building SP Arty for many years now.

BTW, I LOVE your avatar...

Marvelous, Jim, we have a great lineup of projects here!

I have the Trumpeter multi kit and an old AMT that need to be built, so count me in.

We're getting a good armoured spearhead together!
I currently have 3 kits in my stash, this would give me an excuse to start one of em,
If you'd like to finish the beast on this go round, you're more than welcome!
I've got the mostly completed Tamiya kit from the last GB, and a basic hull and turret together of an Acad/Trumpeter bash.
I think I could do a mid-year start easy enough......
Apprentice rivet counter.
Sounds like it'll be a good looking model whichever way, and I look forward to seeing it go together.
The Panther II being all new tooling depends on whether you got the Dragon (all new) or Trumpeter (old with some new bits) kit. Dragon's is better, but I got the Trumpeter one real cheap. Dragon gives you an accurate M1IP upper hull whereas Trumpeter gives you their old M1A1/A2 hull with some (not all) of the necessary cosmetic parts to make it into an M1IP.
TBolt Mike, I'm up for a mid-year start! Should be done with most of my other projects by then.

Last Armor Build - 1/35 Dragon M-26A1, 1/35 Emhar Mk.IV Female
Last Aircraft Builds - Hobby Boss 1/72 F4F Wildcat & FW-190A8
I've been wanting to get the new tamiya kit with the tuskII add ons this would be a good reason to go get it lol

I'd love to do another, I've learned a lot about them since my build last year. Any time over the summer would be cool for me, that's really the only time we get decent painting weather 'round here.
I like the midyear to midyear since I'm a slow builder. I should be done with both of my current projects by mid March or April so that would work for me.

Thanks, Terry. Okay, that's a vote for a midyear start. Corvettemike, how does that sit for you? And midyear to end of year, or midyear to midyear?
Earnest, Corvettemike and Terry -- it's great to see this much interest! I think we have the makings of an excellent GB here, there's enough projects mooted so far to justify getting a build going. CM brings up committments and schedules, which is always a major factor, I know I have way more on my plate than is good, but that's really always the case... How do others feel about timing? We're well through February, would a mid-year start be a good idea? Or a bad one, given that it would be summer in the northern hemisphere by then?
Let me know yall's thinkin' on that score?
I'm just tidying up a USMC M1A1 w/ mine plow but I still have a Trumpeter 5 in' 1 I'm planning on building as a M1 Panther II, so I might be able to be pursuaded. I still have the rest of my current M1, a 1/5 R.E. Lee, JP Velociraptor, 2010 Corvette to get out of the way and I'm still signed up for 1943 and Operation Overlord GB's as well as the Niel Armstrong GB that starts in July so I would vote on a later start date personally.
I have a couple of 1/72 Abrams kits I've been wanting to build.....
I'm in, then! It would be good motivation to finally finish, plus I started another one way back when the first GB was going......
Rob, would love to have you aboard if you can make it! RBaer, of course you can!
