That is what I suspected. Thank you for the information sir. I will remove the mounting points off of the mudguard part.

There are no pics of the phone box in the ETO before war's end.  Even  the pristine Pershings in victory parades don't have 'em.  I believe they appear on Okinawa bound Pershings however.

I am nearing the finish line with Dragon's original release T26E3 kit. I am building it in late WWII ETO configuration  I know that I am not supposed to use the fender braces.What about the field phone box on the rear mudguard? Was that a post WWII addition or on the ones that fought in Germany, Spring 1945?
