Jagdpanther 1/72 from Revell
Posted by hellwarrior on Sunday, April 21, 2013 1:30 PM

Hi, I just bought the Jagdpanther 1/72 from Revell.  I am new to modeling so I tought I could give a try with a level 3 like this one.  Here is a picture of the model.  I will try to post pictures along the way and I would need your advice because I never completed a model before.

Will be watching. If i am reading the sprues right, it looks like you have a choice of mantlet and barrel.

And judgeing by the woodland scenics in the background, are you planning a diorama.

I've built several of the Revell Panther hulled vehicles. One thing to pay attention to is to make sure your link & length track go around the entire route of the suspension without underlap or overlap.

Loopking at the sprue top right in the photo, running along the top you have two square objects with holds in them. These are the gun mantlets, where the barrel fits into. It looks like the barrels themselves are to the left of each mantlet. I am guessing the instructions will give you the option to fit either one.
