Great job adjusting to an adverse situation! Your one heck of a modeler. Keep up the good work, I looking forward to seeing your next finished product.

J-Hulk,

Thanks for confirming my plan, I only did the Idler and it worked out well. I drilled the removed axle off center so i could rotate it to the best position. I was surprised at how much a 1mm movement affected the slack.

Thanks again.
Brian.

Your idea sounds pretty good to me, Brian!
I'd just do the idler, though.

Model Kasten track problem

On the T55 I'm working on I fitted workable Model Kasten tracks. On the one side it looks great, just the right amount of slack and sag but on the other it is much too loose. If remove one link it is too tight. Any thoughts on this? I was thinking of sawing off the sprocket and idler axles and CAing them in about 1mm each then reinforcing them with brass rod. Other than this I have no ideas, any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Brian.
