Panzer Dark Yellow

Sprayed last night using Tojo's advice on the Yellow/Buff combo and couldn't have been happier with the result.  Sprayed beautifully and looked spot on (Well, spot on to a wingnut.  I'm sure the armor guys would tell me it's too light/dark/yellow/white/plaid/ for this particular tank since during October 1943 a line worker named Hans spilled his sauerbraten into the vat of paint)

I don't think you will have any issue with that mix. One thing i forgot about when i suggested straight XF-60 is that the last time i used it, and i don't use tamiya often, was also the first time i did any sort of wash. And the end result was way to dark.

However, you might want to send that suggestion to Dragon. I don't think they have done a tank from that period yet.

Of course we need to evaluate it.

My favourite Tamiya mix for Dark Yellow is 50/50 XF-60 (Dark Yellow) and XF-55 (Deck Tan).

Groovy!  Got several bottles of XF-60.  Thanks for the tip!

Tamiya XF-60 lightened with Tamiya Buff 90-10  I found that filtering washing and weathering darkens the XF-60 too much

For Tamiya, XF-60 would be the one tamiya recomends and is a good option. Not sure about the other 2.
