Marder III

After many years of automotive modeling, this was my FIRST ever attempt at armor.  It's just an out of the box build from a Tamiya kit.  I almost hate to post it after viewing all the great work you guys do with armor here.  You armor builders do some fantastic work.

Nothing ever fits……..and when it does, its the wrong scale.

That's pretty not bad. Certainly better than the first armour kits I was building. Sure you could use washes and other things for weathering, but that can come in time. I like the figures as well, I am guessing this isn't the first time you have done those.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Nice work!  The figures look great!  I didn't realize the Marder was that small (real life that is).  What a great first armor kit!

Thank you for the comments.  They mean more than you think!  Bish, the only other figures I have done is some 1/25 mechanics and drivers---I think these were just dumb luck!

Congrats on completing your first armor build! This is a fun kit to work with and a neat subject to boot. Hope to see more from you in this area. Once you build armor there's no going back... Wink

That's some very nice work there. I echo the comments on the figures. I couldn't paint them to save my life.

The only thing that really stands out to me is the numbers on the gun on the left side. It appears a different color underneath them. Otherwise solid effort.
