If you are talking about the 1/16 Tamiya kits then here in the Philippines the Tiger 1 is roughly at $250 and the Pershing is at $600.

Not a waste of time or bad question..
Tamiya also has 1/25 scale armor,, they are expensive,, they build pretty much same as any scale,, detail is larger but also more to do,, what u can get away with in 1/35 you cannot in larger scales.. and they are big!! Just keep that in mind for displaying,,Good Luck!

The 1/16 Tiger goes for about $400 here in the states. I think the 1/25 may be out of production now - if memory serves I paid around $80 for mine. You definitely need some experience if for no other reason than not messing up an expensive kit.
Don't worry - the only stupid question is the one you don't ask.

When I won the full R/C 1/16 Tiger I, the invoice stated that it cost $720 to the sponsor of the contest. I think it originally hit the market with an MSRP of around $1000, but the price dropped and continues to drop.

I traded a $125 Aber PE set (intended for the Tiger I) for the motorized 1/16 King Tiger. It had a price tag of $369 on it.

I bought the 1/25 scale Tamiya Tiger one when I came back from the Gulf in 1991. It cost $51 at the Armor School Book Store. That was a high price for a model kit back then. I've since seen the same kit going on eBay for around $100.
