Bish - Thanks, but I'm not sure what you mean by the concertinas part. I know what the word means. but I don't understand how the sides would fold down like an accordian. Also, would the top open up like the old butterflyhoods like we had on some trucks back then? I watched the video and looked at all the links that are posted. And I'm still not sure about it.

Ken, does this help. It looks like it concertinas down onto itself, if you get what I mean.

Thanks Capnmac, I'll be watching it too.

What I'm looking for is On the Sd.Kfz.8 Schwerer Zugkraftwagen 12t, I need to see a pic of it with the hood open. Is this a butterfly hood? There lots of pics with the side panels (of the Hood) off but the top part of the hood is almost always in place. If its not in place, it's completely off the vehicle.

Oh, and I you can find restored tanks, in actual demos, so you can see them in live color and sound!.

Heres a good page:

www.youtube.com/.../alainwalter

for example:

www.youtube.com/watch

its just a matter of looking around.

This is long--over  an hour--but has a wealth of info for those modeling WWII German vehicles.

Quite a lot to see, too.  Equipment stowage, weathering, the lot.   Since this is on-line, you can "rewind" as much as you want to catch details, too.

Now, if only it had been in color . .  0.o
