Although some Dragon kits have taken an eternity to reach a release, the likelihood of this one coming anytime soon is relatively low...but you never know! Dragon's pattern of late has been to announce a kit and then release it within a 2-3 month timeframe as opposed to their past practices, but they still do have 'unused' kit numbers in their '39-'45 Series that leave you wondering just what they could be in the future. Wham!

Let's see: Lend-Lease vehicle, OD with Russian slogans over-painted with German crosses and 3-color camo. I feel it already.

When Dragon decides to do a captured version in German colors, you'll see it released ASAP.

tigerman

I'll bet they announced the release in order to compete with Academy.

Academy released their M3 Lee in 2006, the M3 Grant in 2007 and the corrected suspension sprues in 2008. I am not sure when Dragon announced an M3 Lee as a "future" release, but I think it was only a couple of years ago. Long enough for Academy to reissue the M3 Grant with corrected suspension and five Miniart tank crew figures (includes Montgomery) as the El Alamein 1942 version.

Like many of Academy's recent armor kits, it is a well detailed and overall very nice model saddled with inaccuracies.
