ModelMaster, Tamiya and Humbrol all have desert sand colors in their lineups. I think
Polly Scale also has a desert sand color in their lineup.

Tamiya Dark Yellow for Base Coat

Tamiya Buff for a light "simulated" dust coat


or you may use Tamiya Desert Yellow as base coat (but is a bit yellowish than dark yellow)

Model Master acryl and their enamel line have a "US army/marine gulf sand". It's not quite right, but it's pretty close. As goofey as it may sound I don't think it's quite pink enough or something.
