Final phase of assembly
Posted by constructor on Thursday, June 13, 2013 4:51 AM

The chassis and engine of my SAS 4x4 Commander by Dragon is now done. I am now ready to drop in the body and to finish the many gas and water tanks included in the kit. It's a fun kit.

Pretty nice.  Why is the fan red though?  It should be OD like the rest of the engine.  Here are a few good pics of a Willys MB engine to see the actual colors.

The mechanic who was fixing it on the desert wadi saw the fan all rusted and looked for paint but the only paint he found was red which explains the red fan

I once saw a tank in my company with a pink road wheel. I don't think a red fan is out of the question.

You're doing a great job on the Jeep! Keep it up. ( When the radiator cowl goes on, no one will know what color the fan blade is.)

Nice clean looking build.  ["The mechanic who was fixing it on the desert wadi saw the fan all rusted and looked for paint but the only paint he found was red which explains the red fan".]  You have a great imagination!
