M16 Multiple Gun Motor Carriage

you're correct.  The T28E1/M15 was classified as a Combination Gun Motor Carriage.  The M1A2 37mm auto cannon with twin .50cal Browning MGs was modified to fit on the half-track.

Thanks.  Looking over the M15 again though, I probably wouldn't use it for my diorama.  I need the M16 quad 50.  As far as I can tell, the M15 had a twin 50 and a single 37mm.

Regarding the CSM M15/T28E1 conversion: make sure you open it to examine it first.  When I eventually get to mine, I can tell you the CSM kit will only be used as a rough 3D reference -- I doubt I'll use any parts from it.  Take from this post what you will....

Found it.  Commander Models.  It is listed at ironshipwrights.com/armor/m15.html.  It is listed specifically as a conversion kit for the M-16 Dragon model. Thanks a lot, it looks like a lot of extra detail.

There's also a spiffy conversion for the M-15 MGMC, in case of need.  Dang it, now, I can't find the link--if I find it, I'll append it here.

Not a lot of effort with the M2 kit, had a good time with that one.  Put a sleeping GI on the hood.  Dad always said he got some of his best sleep on the warm hood of a halftrack.

Get DML, not the 35 year old Tamiya kit.  DML's kit is a gem.  A great template for super-detailing if that's your forte.  Since you mentioned the M2 Halftrack, I assume that it's a DML kit so you'll be familiar with the kits' quality.
