                        What are some ways to make a good mud for an armored vehicle, I know there are threads already for this but I cant seem to fins\d any, call me dumbTongue [:P]

                        One method is the easiest of all ..... use real mud.

                        Now for the method that I use, I mix some putty, white glue, earth tone paint, a few bits of a course material such as fine sand, a couple of chunks of hair to simulate grass caught in the mud. Then just apply it the model where you want it, and drybrush for effect.

                        Miller41, I like to use Plaster, water base paint, herbs (for texture) and a little glue (for luck). I apply it with various brushes to get a scale effect rather than just slopping it on. I paint/tint the dry plaster with oil paints.... Use dark and light browns to make it look wet or dry...

                        lacking many ingredients when i went to mud my Panther,
                        i tried used coffee grounds mixed w/ elmer's glue & water.
                        the coffee was ground somewhat fine in an electric grinder.
                        i wish i had used some screen to sift it, but made due w/o at the time.

                        if it helps, i think the coffee was Swiss Chocolate Almond.

                        I have a tube of Testor's that I use for this. As far as being a good putty it isn't, but for making mud it works just fine.

                        The Coffee grounds worked great, I have 3 pics posted on my models site if you want to see them, use the nashorn build link under miller41. thanks for that great tip as I am a BIG coffee drinker.Big Smile [:D]
