The Pibber kit from tamiya as I worked off of several in '68 and '69. You can build a bunch and none would be the same. All were armed differant at some point and carried differant favorite things of the crews. My other favorite is M113 kits for about the same reasons.-----------Stephen
Seals are crazy. I have the papers to prove it . You on't jump from a plane in less its on fire. You don't swim to a shore and go hunting bad guys with wet weapons yet I did. And pouud of it. Nam 68-69

Enjoying my Italeri Tiger E/H1 with Aber PE and JR barrel. Nice to see a rough kit start to look like a beauty.

My favorite builds are different than my favorite type of models and usually aren't 1/35 scale. I'm really into Stuarts and Shermans, but had the most fun building kits with good interiors. I'd say I liked Tamiya's 1/25 scale Centurion the best. Then come the 1/25 scale Tiger (state of the art when it first came out!), 1/35 scale Academy Tiger.. which I guess would be my favorite build in 1/35 scale... and the old Bandai 1/24 scale Panther and Tiger II, both of which had full interiors. That may change once Trumpeter comes out with the 1/16 T-34, again with a complete interior.

Ron

PS Can you tell how I feel about interiors??

I had a lot of fun with my Academy M60, which was my first armour build in 1/35. The top pick for me would be the Tamiya Dragon Wagon, which went together so smoothly, but provided me with 2 months of construction delights.
I also had a lot of fun with the Trumpeter Ballistic Missle transporter.

Sorry I'm late,
but I had to put in mine, The old Tamaya king tiger and M-60 that were
motorized. I built them while in armour school and we would battle them in
the barracks hallways or just set 'em loose to bug the Drill sgt!

Tamiya's Panzer II. It was my second armour kit, and the one that got me hooked. It is such an easy build that I have nothing but fond memories of it. I was happy with the job I did originally but has since been destroyed through numerous paint/interior/weathering/zimmerit experiments, but I don't regret it, as I have learnt a lot over the years on that little tank. I was thinking of buying another one, and going all out with AM parts etc, as a bit of a tribute to it!

I like the Tamiya Pibber patrol boat i built when it first came out 15+ years ago (i think)
i bought it at Mildenhall airshow and started it when i got home, its a great kit and so different to Armour, it was destroyed years ago but ive bought another and im planning on making an interior for it and basing it on the Pibber in Apocalypse now

other than the Pibber i would say the Kingtiger or the Jagdpanther, both from Tamiya

Tamya's Tiger 1. I built it about 8 years ago and was the first model I had built in about 30 years. All box stock, I inserted a pin in a chopstick and heated the pin over the kitchen range burner to melt in the zimmeret. Used pastels, put it in a snow setting. Never did well at any show with it (there are things I would do different now, the zimmeret for one thing) but I love that freakin' tank. Right now I'm fairly happy with a WW1 tank I've opened a door on and scratch built an interior. We'll see how happy I am at the Seattle spring showBig Smile [:D] G.L.

My favorite is the Tamiya T-55. The kit has parts and decals to make different variants and it goes together very well.

Since I think I get better with each build the last one I build is always my favorite, so right now it's Tamiya's M4A3 that I'm building for the Sherman group build. I will say that I like Academy's M10, still not quite done with that one.

My favorite one was the Tamiya 36/37 88mm Gun towed by an 8 ton German halftrack! Lots of detail, figures and fun to work on!
