Original seats were not leather, but canvas, like the top.  Color varied from a darker green to OD green, to a tan color depending on wear and fading.

I am building the AFV Club WC-56 for a friend.  The question I have concerns the seat color.  The seats are "leather".  I am looking for a good color to use for the seats. I have seen pictures with a wide variety of colors from a tan to red-brown.  What was the original color or the closest FS number?

Thanks for the advice Roy,

Much appreciated!

I have the AFV Club WC57 / WC56 US 3/5 ton 4x4 (Pattons car) and it is one of the most enjoyable kits I have had.

Very Best Regards

Johan

It's the ex-Skybow WC62/63 kit.  All around an excellent kit.  You'll love it.  I consider the AFV Club Dodge kits to be among he best 1/35 softskin kits extant.   I used their WC51 as a donor kit a few years back for this:

The HB GMC is a good kit but depicts a rare version only used by Free French forces in WW2 and later, in Indochina.

Engine and drive train for both-- all Olive Drab -- which was the US WW2 standard.

Hi,

This one is on sale for $30 at the LHS - would any one have any experience of the kit?
They have HobbyBoss GMC with a 40mm Bofors.

What color would the engine and drive chain be?
Is there like a US WWII standard?

Very Best Regards
Johan
