DUKW and the Verlinden Detail Set?

I built the Italeri 1/35th dukw a few years back . It went together fairly well with a few snags in the fit ...........mainly at the area where the windshield / dash / engine hood fit location . Things can get crooked in that area if careful assembly is not followed .I built the kit oob and the only thing I replaced was the screen around the exhaust , the exhaust pipe and the frame for the drivers canvas cover .

I too built it a few years ago, basically OOB with the addition of a scratch engine compartment, wheel skirts and a few missing pieces in the driver's area.  The engine was pretty easy to do, it was just a straight six.  I built it using some sheet syrene stock and bits and pieces from other engines.  The radiator cowl was vac-formed over a carved balsa form.  The wiring and hoses are different sized pieces of solder and fine copper wire.  Battery is out of a jeep kit, etc., etc...  Like I said, it wasn't too difficult.
