And I am pretty much done with Zvezda . This is my third Zvezda model and all three had very, very poor fit. I don't mind trimming parts here and there, but these three were a bit too much. Almost nothing fitted well.
Few times I thought that the ol' GAZ will be run over by Pzkpfw Nike Mk 8.5 late production , but then I though may as well make it into a damage experiment.
Here are few pix:
The rooftop fits sooo poorly that I didn't even bother to put it on. Ivan will get wet .
The holes on the tarp and on the side planks are trying to be shrapnel damage.
The side of the engine cover fell off, Ivan chucked it into the cargo box Comments, jokes etc welcomed...

Other then the silvering on the decals, it doesn't look as bad as you portray it.

Plenty of perseverance and you got to the end. In fact; had you have not said anything No one would have known.
Great looking model...cheers....Kenny
Very good.
Just say is a sunroof...
I completely relate to what you say on the fitting, going through the same.
But the damage to the canvas looksvery good, I think it looks more damaged by wear, but that is OK, really looks like if it was cloth.
Cheers.
The rear tarp and the body look great. The only thing that looks off to me is the rear roof section on the cab. It shouldn't be there. If you want to make it w/out a cab top, the rear of the top should be removed as well since the top and rear of it are one piece. I would cut along the line where the rear top meets the green metal of the rear wall and you would be good.
