Miller41,

Like the paint job a lot... did you use and acrylic wash on the SPG? The mud is very convincing... Great job...

Peace

Miller,
i think that was me w/ the coffee grounds on my Panther.Blush [:I]
but your Rhino looks much better.
i think you have refined the technique considerably!
i think mine needs some paint or more glue/water
to get a better 'slurry'. mine came out a bit grainy,
which was good for hiding build imperfections, but not as good
for overall 'mudding'.

can you give us an idea of the ratios of glue, water, paint?
(and coffee brand!) Tongue [:P]

great work,
ed.

Heard about the coffee grounds from here, in another forum post in the armor thread:-) I asked for advice and some people were kind enough to post some suggestions.

Looking great Miller. I like the effect a lot!

I can answer one question about the kit. It's Dragon's new(ish) Hornisse. Three of us from a computer gaming club are trying a bit of a "group build" to get our Combat Mission opponents into the dark side. Our next build hasn't been decided yet, but we've managed to entice more people into the world of glue huffing and coffe mud Wink [;)]

great build!! i've wanted to do a nashorn for a while now, but never got round to itDisapprove [V]
the mud looks great! can i ask how you did it?
in terms of weathering, i'd just point out that maybe the white in the cross needs to be toned down a bit (a wash or maybe pastels), to ensure consistency with the rest of the vehicle.
still looks damn cool though!Cool [8D]

Great job. The weathering and "muddering" are well done.
