Just finished this for Bish's Longest Day Group Build. She's the AFV Club kit built largely straight outta the box. The only real issue I had here was the rubber tracks were about an inch - 3cm too short so I wired them together and then rotated the gap up under the skirts where it can't be seen.

The AVRE, Armoured Vehicle Royal Engineers was one of 'Hobart's Funnies' a purpose built bunker buster that hurled a trash can sized mortar shell/bomb to take out fixed fortifications. I placed the guy in the front holding the projectile to give an impression of the size. It was loaded by the mortar turning down at a 45% angle and the shell/bomb being pushed up though the modified machine gunners hatch into the muzzle, the mortar would then be turned back to the normal position and the weapon fired. I added the figures loading the tank though the hatch to draw attention to this feature.

I think I kinda overdid it with the weathering pigments but everyone has told me they like them so I suppose I'll leave them on. Sorta sucks since I did do some colour modulation and filters but they're invisible under all the dust and sand! Any advice on use of the pigments would be appreciated so hopefully I'll have better luck with them in the future.
