German and Allies Flags
Posted by jibber on Saturday, November 30, 2013 11:27 AM

I'm wondering if anybody has a line on these flags in 1/35. In the past I've used tissue paper and painted my own German Flag to drape over an AFV, but I 'd like to find some made of cloth for all the WWII countries.

Not tried these guys yet, but I plan on getting quite a few of their items, including cotton flags.

They only have US, SU, Japanese and German at the moment.

Bish thanks interesting items…but everything is sooo expensive anymore. I'm going to try the flags and see how they work.

O I don't know, you get quite a few flags for you money. That German set works out at just over £5 or $9, a touch over a buck a flag. Of course, that's before postage, you may be able to get them over there, I know they are available in the UK.

maybe not then, I am sure someone else must do them over there. I would be surprised if they didn't.

Archer Transfers does a line too, but they're not cheap either:

One material that is excellent for this also offers some choices, too--Silkspan.

this is a membrane used for model aircraft.  It's light, supple, and takes paint.

If a person can decide upon the size and configuration of the flags desired (this can be an exercise all on its own), that configuration can be printed on the silkspan.  You a body really wants, it can actually be silkscreened.
