Meng 1/35 M2A3 Bradley
Posted by P mitch on Thursday, December 5, 2013 8:09 AM

Just found this on the net and not sure anyone has posted it here. Info below is taken from Meng's site

This SS-004 kit consists of 667 parts on 23 plastic sprues (incl. 179 interior parts on 6 sprues), 31 parts on 3 PE frets, 10 parts on 2 TPE sprues (incl. passengers’ safety belts and coaxial machine gun bullet belt), 168 track links of 2 cement-free workable tracks.

Looks ike it could be a good update on some of the old kits out there

The most important part is that it supposedly has a complete engine and interior. This kit will make the old Tamiya and Academy kits obsolete eBay bait.

I want it to sit next to my M2A0 Bradley with full interior. This will be one hell of a kit.

With some mods one can make a M3A3 Cavalry vehicle. But I'd rather finish my Tamiya Bradley first.

Meng has posted the below drawings and this text on their FB page:

"As the SS-004 kit will be available soon, MENGs artist shares a three-view drawing and a section view drawing of 1 paint scheme which he has carefully prepared with us. In the section view, you can see the engine, drivers compartment, passenger compartment and turret interiors. All of these interiors will appear in the kit."

If it lives up to the drawings and the standards of their recent releases, it will be awesome.

Love Meng Kits, I'm working on the French AUF1, great kit..I love the detail "without" a million small parts to make it happen, although there's no shortage of sprues. Just great parts and fit. Whats next for Meng?

I've only got one Meng kit, their Tiger High Mobility Vehicle. It looks good, but I've been too busy or lazy to get around to building it.

Oh WOW, I would like to build it in a "cut out" model, like the diagram to show the interior and details.

With all the hatches open, you can actually see pretty much everything inside.  I built an M7A2 BFIST with a full interior including engine and tranny and it is fully visible.

Not the best pics, but you get the idea.

I ordered one from LuckyModel and received it today. It reminds me of one of Dragons Premium kits. There are so many parts its hard to fit them all back in the box. Meng sure has made great strides in the short amount of time that they've been around.
