North Vietnamese armor--paint?

i use MMA dark green. by the time i wash and weather it looks fine.

Yes, that color is excellent for the modern Soviet armor. Tamiya Olive Green in the bottle is pretty good as well. That is what I used on my NVA T-54.

Jim, If you don't mind spray cans, Tamiya's Olive Drab 2 is a very close match to the green the Soviets used.

Not a Vietnam vet myself. But all NVA armor was of Soviet or Chicom origin. I would suggest a medium to dark olive green. And of course well weathered from the tropical climate.

Considering that the NVA utilized Russian arms and armor, any variation of Russian armor green would suffice. Light or dark doesn't seem to matter, from what I've seen in books and documentaries.

That being said, don't take my word alone, there's a few guys on this site who actually were in 'Nam. (You know who you are...)
