well the model is hasegawas m3 lee the base is a sour cream container lid with styrofoam cut out from paper plates.

Sorry for the pictures, there the best I can get (neighbors camera isn't the highest megapix)

I'll be doing more of those kinds of bases for sure. It works great for all but modern afvs. I think I'll do one for my 1/72 fokker d VII as well.
