I'm looking for aftermarket detailing parts for the Tamiya 1:35 US Army M577 Command Vehicle. Does anybody have any ideas on availability ?

I would appreciate any information regarding this subject.

Eduard have a PE set for it, number ED35650

If you want AM tracks, I would imagine standard M113 tracks would work.

And found on of those sets on E-bay in the US which shows the external PE fitted.

Verlinden makes a "NATO radio Set" that'll work for the interior, but as far as I know you'd have to scratch some of the inside; but most of it is very similar to an M113A1.

Actually, you'd have to scratch all of the inside (or borrow bits from a standard M113 kit). The M577 kit has no interior at all.

Bish, Thank you for the quick response to my inquiry. I contacted eBay immediately after receiving your information and happened to obtain the last set available. Thanks again,

No problem, glad I could help. I didn't think I would find anything for such an old kit. Not sure what your going to do about the inside, unless you just leave it closed up.

Steve,

Thanks for the radio set information for the M577. Since I was the section chief on one, I can remember some details concerning the interior ( since this was 1965 to 1967 ). My recollection will be limited in some details, but you are right, the M577 was converted from the M113A1 so some of the interior is similar.

The resin start-up Armor Division 2 was offering an M577A1 interior set.  I think he is reworking it.    His site is currently down though.  I'll have to email him and see if he will be offering them again.

It was pretty nice and pretty complete.  I reviewed it here:

Thanks Gino, I was the Section Chief on an M577 during 1966 & 1967 in an 8" howitzer battalion. The interior of our vehicle was crowded with so much gear, radios, map chest, weapons, personnel, etc. That is what I want to try to portray when I get it going. Thanks a lot and stay safe in the field.
