nice. i have not figured out the best color for vision blocks. i have used blue but usually go with clear green toned down with clear smoke. could be an artist thing with me. i will look for anyplace to add some color within the parameters of not absurd (like pink shovels)

It's good to like what you do, even if deviating from reality.

That's my motto in modeling.

I have also used red and orange in other models, is very nice.

Wayne have you tried Tamiya Clear Blue, thats my "go to" color because  I think it gives it some depth and subtle coloring without drawing your attention to it. I've experimented with most all the "clears" and the blue goes on pretty even.

Alexander I really like the angles you use on your photos, nice build. Any more photos?

I'm with you jibber, I use tamiya clear blue over (multiple) a coat of X11 silver.
