i built one of these last year. my understanding is the short 75mm wasn't a problem but the long 75mm caused it to be nose heavy. so the initially long 75mm with rubber road wheels is still good for earlier models but later models had the 2 steel road wheels.

Correct.  The old Tamiya Jagdpanzer IV does NOT come with the all steel wheels for the front bogie stations.

I got the 35088 Tamiya Jagdpanzer IV L/70 Lang off Ebay and just wanted to make sure

that my eyes aren't that bad. It does not come with steel wheels for the first two on each side, correct?

I Ihave a set of Tristar and they do look different.
