Yeah, Tamiya is a great company but they dropped the ball on the Abrams.Shy [8)] But Tamiya is still the Lexus [i'd say Cadillac but Tamiya is Japanese] of model kits 99% of the time and they make sure you pay for it too.LOL

Well if it is anything like their M1A2 rehash they can keep it I mean it dosent even have the antislip coating, and the trumeter chally is a nice kit and price 22 dollars. bet tamiyas will be at least 45.00.

To repeat what was said earlier Tamiya prices aren't up mine. I'm happy with my regular Trump Chally 2 and I'm going to pick up the Trump OIF Chally 2 next.Shy [8)]

my two cents worth

hey, if it's consumer demand, how come we have a tamiya leopard before a challenger II OIF???Angry [:(!]

A Tamiya Chally 2 would be nice. However, I am sure the price will be not nice to me, LOL.

If only the rumor about Tamiya putting out a new T-62 would turn out to be correct. Big Smile [:D] I would also like to see them put out a new Chieftain or Centurion.

It really is a beautiful tank. I'm waiting to build my FAUN transporter and have something to transport. Maybe this'll be it. I haven't taken a look at the italeri one, but I doubt it's as good as tamiya

I can agree with Chris, I would like to see some more WW1 stuff. There were some reallly interesting things that would make some cool looking models.

I've seen a Ram out there somewhere. I think I saw it from one of the lesser known manufacturers listed on the Military Hobbies web site.

On the bench: 1/32 Spit IXc

I'd rather see some WW2 subjects that aren't out there. Ram and sexton, etc. or how about WW! subjects, there ain't too many decent kits for those out there in 1/35.

I'm fairly happy with the Trumpeter release, and as such, I probably wouldn't pick up the Tamiya kit. Maybe later on down the road, but the probable price isn't worth it for me

Tamiya Challenger 2?
Posted by J-Hulk on Wednesday, February 25, 2004 6:22 AM
Now ya'll know I'm not one to start rumors, but the latest issue of Model Graphix reports (albeit as an industry rumor) that Tamiya's next 1/35 armor kit will be an OIF Challenger 2!!

That report was part of the magazine's article heralding Tamiya's long-awaited "counter attack" as the "Twin Stars of the Far East" (referring to Tamiya's logo).

Not that the Trumpeter Chally-2 is a bad kit, but I'd rather build a Tamiya if I could!

Not much else was mentioned specifically, but supposedly Tamiya has some good stuff (and not just armor) in store for us.

Here's hoping!!Big Smile [:D]
