AFV Club Missing Parts
Posted by jibber on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 5:25 PM

Anybody ever have a need to contact AFV for a missing sprue? I'm working on a 251/20 Ausf. D UHU and I'm missing an entire sprue. This is a first for AFV and I'm wondering if I should contact the address on the box in Taiwan along with the provided form, or is there some place a little closer to the US. Thanks

Where did you buy the kit?  That should be the first step in trying to get the sprue.  If a retailer sold you and incomplete kit, try to get them to replace the sprue.  If you bought it second hand (Ebay or at a show, etc.), good luck.

I bought it on Ebay but it was a factory sealed box, everything was as it should be except for the clear sprues? Thanks Bronto.

There isn't too much on the clear sprue except the vision blocks and the light lens.  I would just cut them out of some clear styrene, probably faster and easier than trying to get a replacement sprue.

As an alternative, AFV club do sell the clear parts on their own. Personally, I would contact AFV directly first, just depends how much of a hurry you are in.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Bish thanks, just maybe if I could get the right thickness I could scratch out a couple. I'll look into it. What a pain, this is a first.
