Lol...just curious, ever buy a kit after being inspired by someone else's work only to find it still unopened in your stash many years after?

From my 100+ stash I can honestly say that only one falls in that category. I saw a 1/24 Bandai George super detailed in Hyperscale about 4 years ago and hunted the kit down on Ebay, factory sealed for peanuts. I opened it, checked it out and got some Eduard pe for it and will eventually get to it once I have more display room hopefully sometime after the summer. That is a huge beast.

I bought the Tamiya Char B1 bis  about three years ago, mainly because of the examples I saw built in MMiR,  but haven't done anything other than peek inside the box since.

I can feel it coming on though....

I believe this is why manufacturers went from artists' renditions to photographs of the completed kits on the box tops and sides. I know I have plenty of model kits I've bought, started, but never finished, the oldest kit I bought but never even attempted was purchased in 1988.

I bought a Tamiya M60A3 kit because it was new and the type of tank I commanded. A friend in the States mailed me one for Christmas. I built that one and never got around to the one I bought myself.

Yep.  My dad did a couple of my kits when I was growing up (Mono AT-6, Revell 1/24 Huey), and I have been carrying the Huey around since the day I got to my tech school in the Air Force!  They had one at the little hobby shop on base and I promptly bought it!  I got the AT-6 about 10 years ago, and it's still in the stash.
