M983 Hemtt

Does anybody know if there is an M983 Hemtt kit made for pulling the Patriot Missiles?  Also looking for the M1M-104 Patriot and missiles system. I understand that there was a kit of very poor quality made several years ago.

There is an Italeri M977 kit which you can modify.

Yes, there was a series of 1/48 scale kits by Arii that combined to make a complete Patriot missile system (radar, antenna, missile, controller trailer) but the vehicles resembled the type used in old Godzilla movies and not modern US HEMTTs. The Arii kits surfaced sometime after Desert Storm in the 1990s.

Rob,

Thanks for the response. I have not been able to find this any where. I guess that I will put the M577 away for a while and see what pops up at a later date.

Garzonh,

I have the M977, but have not been able to find detail parts or pictures to make it the M983.

Thanks,

Mike,

Thank you! This is a big help, I now know what the 983 basically looks like.

Just a M977 HEMTT without the box and a 5th wheel hitch added.

Don't forget to pick up the eduard M978 tanker interior and exterior detail sets as both sets work with all the HEMTT series trucks with the exception of the detail parts for the tank.
